{"id":4577,"date":"2012-08-21T00:00:56","date_gmt":"2012-08-21T04:00:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tracishupertphotography.com\/blog\/?p=4577"},"modified":"2012-08-20T22:08:18","modified_gmt":"2012-08-21T02:08:18","slug":"its-her-birthday-a-personal-story","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tracishupertphotography.com\/blog\/its-her-birthday-a-personal-story\/","title":{"rendered":"It&#8217;s Her Birthday :: A Personal Story"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today is my niece&#8217;s birthday, and tomorrow she&#8217;ll start 3rd grade. \u00a0We first met in the operating room where she was born. \u00a0Her mom had to have an emergency c-section after nearly 24 hours in labor. \u00a0I remember getting a call around 6 am that they were heading to the hospital. \u00a0This was during my first week of school, and I had to call for a substitute teacher. \u00a0Not really the best week to have a substitute, but not much you can do when baby decides to come. \u00a0I had no idea what to expect when I entered the operating room in the super stylin&#8217; blue scrubs. \u00a0By the time I got there, they were almost ready to pull her out. \u00a0Everything went well with the surgery, but it was all I could do not to freak out. \u00a0I mentally knew what a c-section meant, but well, it&#8217;s something else when you see it unfold. \u00a0I did my best to keep my sister calm since this was not in the plan. \u00a0In a matter of minutes, we saw her sweet little face. \u00a0A fancy schmancy camera was years in to my future, but I was able to grab some photos with my point-and-shoot. I&#8217;ve learned quite a bit about composing a photograph since this image&#8230;never really a good idea to shoot up the nose! \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-4587\" title=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tracishupertphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/P8210007-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tracishupertphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/P8210007-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.tracishupertphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/P8210007-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.tracishupertphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/P8210007.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I purchased my first fancy schmancy camera about 4 months before our first photo shoot, and here was my favorite (at the time) from that session. \u00a0I won&#8217;t share my technical critique of the image (it has lots of issues), but the subject was perfect!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-4588\" title=\"DSC_0011\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tracishupertphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/DSC_0011-680x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"680\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tracishupertphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/DSC_0011-680x1024.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.tracishupertphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/DSC_0011-199x300.jpg 199w, https:\/\/www.tracishupertphotography.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/DSC_0011.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been 5 years since our first collaboration, and we&#8217;ve both grown leaps and bounds. \u00a0She&#8217;s now a reader
