This little one gave his parents quite a scare when he was born via an emergency c-section. Thankfully, everything worked out great and he arrived safe and sound! I’ve had such a great string on newborns recently (knocking on wood right now). It truly is amazing to be able to spend time with these real life miracles!
I betcha you’re smiling right now! Smiling is contagious.

My April babies all decided to ignore their due dates, and came well, kinda when they were forced to. All but one of the April newborns had to be induced. Crazy?! This little one was 14 days by the day of our session, and we got along really well. He slept. I posed. Just what I like!

And another baby turns ONE! It’s always kinda bittersweet for me to photograph the One Year session. Sweet…it’s so much fun to see how much they’ve grown and changed over the course of a year. Bitter…I no longer get to see them every few months. She’s gotten cuter and cuter every time I’ve seen her!

I’ve never experienced it myself, but I think belly bumps are one of the most beautiful things in the world. I would hope that I would want photos to document this time of great expectation (and No, Mom, I’m not with child). So, whenever I’m chosen to photograph a belly bump, I am giddy with excitement! And I get even more excited when I get to photograph the baby that’s inside that beautiful belly!

Baby K is set to arrive in June, so stayed tuned!

Last week, I snuggled with this 5 day old beauty. She gave her mom and dad quite the time as they waited for her to arrive…in fact, it seemed that she just didn’t want to arrive. Eventually, she was coaxed out, and they are smitten!

My dad’s side of the family started a tradition well over a decade ago…every first Monday of each month we get together for ice cream and fun! I treasure this time and it’s usually the first thing I put in my calendar at the start of a new year. Through many Mondays, I’ve been able to watch my cousins grow from itty bitties to all grown up. This lovely lady is one of my cousins. During her session, I found myself flashing back to a photo I took of her as a baby. I sat her on this little bench in my house and made her pose for pictures. Little did we know, we’d be doing the same thing 18 years later.
She loves her TOMS! I think this one would look awesome all BIG in her dorm room!

She celebrated her 1st birthday this past week, so we met up at the new Studio for her 1 Year Session. The amount of change a child experiences their first 365 day is truely remarkable! Her birthday party was today, and I’m sure she made out like a bandit!

I’m sure if he could talk he would say how much he enjoyed sleeping and being photographed! He was technically supposed to be in his momma’s belly according to his due date, but he was ready to come 2 weeks early. I always encourage expecting parents to schedule their session well before baby arrives, and even though he came early, we were able to make it work. So far, all of my April babies have totally ignored their due dates. Crazy! What’s not crazy though is how good looking this little one is. Take a look…

The next image be my favorite pose to do right now. It goes by many names, but I like to call it the booty tooch. So simple and sweet.

This beautiful baby was the second newborn from last weekend. I’ve had such sleepy babies recently (knock on wood). She was a little curly-q, all bendy and barely made a peep from one pose to the next. Can you guess which one is my favorite? I’ll give you a hint….it coordinates quite well with my logo.
